Well, it's almost a wrap on 2021 and boy, what a year it's been. Between going back to college, running my business, being a Mom and wife, a virtual school teacher for my oldest and the numerous (and possibly impending) lockdowns, I honestly have no idea where this year went.
At the beginning of 2021, I made the decision to return to college to chase my passion for digital marketing. I was already doing some digital marketing for clients, but I wanted to expand my knowledge base so that I could better serve current and future clients. I never imagined I'd be attending college virtually the entire time or that I would meet people that would change my life in the way that they have. I have so many people to thank for getting me through this hectic year - I know I haven't been easy to handle this year, but you all have handled my crazy quite well.
To Tammy, the best Digital Marketing instructor that walks the planet and who I consider to be my mentor - thank you. You have opened my eyes and taught me things that will follow me for decades to come. You have shown me that in being myself I bring a uniqueness to my work and to trust in myself and what I have to offer. You've pushed me to do better than I ever thought I could. The value I place on what I have learned from you is priceless.
My best friends and sisters, Danielle, Dez, & Shae - first off I am really sorry for all the meltdown messages when my life got super crazy with kids, deadlines, COVID, and "regular" life, but thank you for being able to pull me down off the cliff and point me back in the right direction.
To my husband, Ian - I know it's been one heck of a year for us. It held a lot of uncertainty and we didn't have the easiest road to walk, but we did it. With a lot of hard work on both our parts we made it through this year and we are stronger than ever. From sitting up with me late at night while I finish projects to making sure that I took the breaks I needed in order to preserve my sanity, I could not have done this year with out your love and support. You truly are 'one of the good ones' and I am proud that you are mine.
Looking back on this year helps me to see the future and the future for Dreamweaver is bright. I now hold more than enough knowledge and passion to make a name for myself in the world of digital marketing. It can be scary to look ahead and not know what's coming, but I do know that I will put every ounce of passion and creativity that I can into Dreamweaver and the work that I do for my clients. I will make my mark in the world of digital marketing and this time next year I will be able to share with all of you my favorite projects, my lessons learned and proud moments. While Dreamweaver was born from a dream, it is now an exciting reality filled with the promise of opportunities and possibilities. Dreamweaver's future starts now.
